Fig Grotesk is a playful and approachable sans serif typeface.
It was originally inspired by a piece of the specimen from Amsterdam Type Foundry in the late 19th century–the small size of Breede Magee Antieke, in which the terminal serif loses the thick-and-thin contrast and blend into the letterform structure which creates an affable look as if it has extra curvy terminals. This feature was converted into geometric structure in the design process.
This friendly sans serif typeface has a modern grotesque proportion feeling cleanly contemporary, while the curvy terminals add a touch of warmth and infuse the typeface with a playful personality and affable visual character. It is perfect for logos, headlines, and subheads.
The family is available in eight weights and 16 styles, including Thin, Light, Book, Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold, Black, and their corresponding italics
